MAP Venture Partners was started by former senior Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) industry executives and Merger & Acquisition specialists in 2002 as a consultancy to assist technology companies commercialise their technology and provide "traditional" management consulting services to mid-large corporate, specialising in TMT. Unlike most Venture Capital firms, whose teams consists of people with pure finance backgrounds, the partners have senior-level global management operating experience and direct operating experience with early-stage and start-up companies.
