Vietnam's first integrated 3G Mobile Social Network and Games Shop launched by Mostyle today
me.ifun.vn - Vietnam's first integrated 3G Mobile Social Network and Games Shop launched by Mostyle and ISS today
Today marks a milestone in global mobile technology firm Mostyle’s history with the launch of its groundbreaking mobile SNS service for Information System Solution’s (ISS) new 3G social network site, ifun.
Created by one of Vietnam’s most exciting digital content distributors, ifun is a new casual gamer oriented 3G social network site for mobile and internet users to connect with others, share their interests and download a range of content and applications to their mobile phone.
Fourteen million subscribers have been quick to connect with 3G network services being offered by most Vietnamese mobile carriers. Mostyle has taken the lead in being the first company to successfully offer gamers and social networkers a fully integrated mobile SNS ‘pay as you go’ content shop which can be accessed both on the internet and across the 3G network.
The result – a seamless and convenient mobile SNS platform upon which Vietnam’s burgeoning gaming and social network community can connect with friends, browse and download games, share photos and blog from either their computer or mobile phone.
Vietnam has witnessed a rapidly changing technology and online communications landscape in recent times, with the emergence and rapid uptake of 3G technology across the country. Mostyle continues pushing the boundaries of mobile technology by customising its market tested mobile SNS platform to deliver a localised service with visual styling to cater to Vietnamese subscribers, as Chairman and Chief of Business Development of ISS, Phan Viet Hoan announced at today’s launch. “The emergence of 3G technologies in Vietnam last year has opened up significant opportunity for digital content providers in this country. We are very excited to leverage Mostyle's experience and reputation to delivery a truly unique and integrated mobile SNS experience with ifun. We are offering never before seen functionality that will really make an impact and establish a benchmark for future social networking initiatives in this country."
Mostyle’s entry into the Vietnamese market follows its overwhelming success in the Philippines with the launch of SMART Sandbox mobile SNS solution for the country’s largest telecommunications company (SMART) in May 2009. Sandbox continues to grow from strength to strength off the back of its Integrated Boomerang Gold Award presented in 2009 by the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP), with over 12,000 photos uploaded by users each month.
Mostyle CEO and founder Alex Young had this to say about today’s ifun launch: “Mass markets like Vietnam that are on the start of their 3G mobile growth curve present significant opportunities for mobile platforms like ours. We’re very happy to be working with ISS to localize our Mobile SNS platform to the tastes of the youth market in Vietnam and we are looking forward to delivering the most vibrant Mobile SNS experience available on mobile internet.”

Wired Events CEO Peter Barlow is excited by the opportunity to work with Mostyle in creating a virtual community for iDEF09 attendees. “This ground-breaking initiative is integral to our vision of driving momentum in the lead up to iDEF09, as well as providing a vehicle for digital enthusiasts to connect with like-minded people before, during and after the event.”
Immediately following registration to iDEF, attendees will able to log on to the iDEF Community via computer or mobile phone to discover the latest event information via event message boards and blogs, play flash web games, as well connect with other event participants via a custom community messaging facility, discussion groups and photo/video albums.
In speaking of the recent partnership with Wired Events, Mostyle CEO Alex Young is confident the longevity of the festival experience and retention for future events through an online and mobile environment will greatly benefit iDEF09. “the iDEF Community is an excellent opportunity for us to showcase the tangible benefits businesses can receive by using our community platform and continue to educate Australian corporations about the ease with which they can start playing in the social media space.”

Mostyle streamlines mobile web publishing
Melbourne, Australia - June 11, 2008 - Melbourne-based Mostyle launches a new service designed for mobile use that allows anyone to create a free 3G mobile website and publish it to a global community, which combines with social networking capabilities for customer feedback, precisely targeted advertising or just staying in touch.
In the past, creating a mobile site was very difficult, but Mostyle offers a streamlined web interface which produces sites compatible with all 3G networks and handsets. This will enable businesses, brands or users to publish their content to a global audience, and getting started is as easy as logging onto the user's homepage and clicking the "Create Mosite" link.
Mostyle is an integrated content creation ecosystem, encompassing site-building, community-building and a content portal offering the full web 2.0 experience including text, photos, videos and sharing comments with friends, communities or customers across the world, at any time.
Mostyle is the brain-child of Alex Young, who returned to Australia to found the company after working for companies like Nokia, Telstra and StarHub and gaining further experience with 3G and i-mode in Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan.
Mostyle was founded in 2004, and secured an AusIndustry COMET (for commercialising emerging technology) in 2007 which has helped this young company to be poised to break into an emerging international market.
Recent reports by Heavy Reading and Juniper Research predict that mobile internet advertising spends will rise from roughly 1.3 billion in 2007 to between $7.6b and $10b in 2013. Bolstering these figures, Google CEO Eric Schmidt told Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung that it was his prediction that the mobile internet would be the next major advertising platform.
"You build it, you publish it, you share it with friends. You react to that, and start the cycle again, you build it, you publish it, you share it with friends. Once you have the cycle going and feeding back in, you start to get the economies of scale that make mobile advertising and M-commerce really take off" says Young.
Mostyle is truly an international development, drawing on Young's working experience to appeal to both Eastern and Western markets and has been engineered with Asian languages in mind. It also works with all 3G handsets and networks.
